❰ the bartender won't budge, and as damon's about to reach across the bar for his shirt he feels a tug, like a hook caught in his belly button dragging him away from the bar. it's impossible to resist, at least at first, and damon gets pulled halfway toward the door to the bar before he can plant his feet and stop himself from moving. it hurts, though, and he grits his teeth angrily. ❱

Bennett, if this is you I swear you will regret it.

Making sandwiches? Are you serious?

❰ damon is a better cook than this. this is not a good use of his skills, nor is it something he has any interest in doing. the staff member leading him to the kitchen doesn't seem to care, though, and damon isn't in much of a position to refuse — lack of vampire abilities means he's only as powerful as a moderately well-exercised 24 year-old — so here he is, staring at a bunch of sandwich-making ingredients with barely disguised distaste before looking at the other person in the room. ❱
