His need to panic over their predicament is greatly calmed because of Hua Cheng's presence there with him. If he had been sent alone it would have been a far different scenario. But seeing how they were brought here together he felt more confident they could solve the puzzle that would take them home. Not having powers isn't anything new to Xie Lian so he isn't terribly bothered by not being able to do anything. His only sadness being that the typically lively silk wrapped around his arm lacks the personality that it normally does.
