He runs the back of his sleeve over his cheeks, attempting, at least, to look a little composed, but his smile never wavers, and there's a laughter in his voice, a tight knot in his heart that starts to uncoil.

"Then, what's a little danger in exchange for that?" he teases. Certainly, it's one more person he wants to keep safe, but... even so, he can't deny he's glad for the chance to spend time with A-Yuan. Lan Zhan isn't exactly verbose, so hopefully he can trouble Sizhui to talk about his time in Cloud Recesses as well.
