Generally if someone forces something upon another it is because they have ulterior motives. And he has learned that not everything in the hotel is as it seems. So this seemingly innocent drink is probably not that at all. It clearly isn't water and it doesn't look like the kind of tea he is used to.

Xie Lian wonders if perhaps this young lad might have more experience or knowledge in the matter in regards to drinks being served to them so he looks at him hopefully.
