It feels selfish, somehow, to admit that he is glad that Huaisang is here, too, when he knows full well what this place is like. They are more powerless here than he has ever been at home, and yet - and yet being here has brought him hope that he could not have imagined, when he was sitting in seclusion at home.

Perhaps he can be a little selfish.

"As am I. I missed you," he says, giving no indication that he is ready to stop holding Huaisang, either. "And I am glad to see you, even in such a place."
