Once the marshmallows become roasted enough, he gingerly nibbles on the marshmallow but found it too sweet to his liking and a loss a bit of his appetite. He craves food from home and realized how homesick he is, and how much he misses their son, even though a version exists here, and how much he misses his own version of his family.

He eats half-way and laid the marshmallow aside and just let it burn until it's black. "Mn. She kept us, prisoner, for so long. For how long, I do not know." He said, solemn. For now, the garden provides a measure of freedom, being outside.

For now to him the purpose of the wedding to make their bond solid, a ceremony that symbolized that they're inseparable and he vowed to bring Wei Ying back home, alive and preferably in one piece.
